Jamie Redknapp has been discussing Everton’s weekend win against Chelsea and highlighted the importance of the Goodison Park crowd in the win.
Everton won 3-1 in Duncan Ferguson’s first game as caretaker manager and fans at Goodison Park were going wild for the Scotsman’s attitude throughout the game.

Redknapp, a former Merseyside rival at Liverpool, was writing in his Daily Mail column and alluded to the impact Everton’s crowd can make on a game.
He suggested there is ‘nothing else’ like the atmosphere at Goodison when the place is rocking.
“If you’re a neutral, there is nothing better than going to Goodison Park when the crowd are up. It makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.. If you’re an opponent, believe me, it is intimidating. The place erupts and reacts to a good tackle as if it’s a goal.
“There is nothing else like it in the Premier League or abroad, and I love that about Evertonians.”
TBR’s View
There is no doubt that under Marco Silva there was a level of disenchantment from the Everton fans which translated to the pitch. It was not entirely their fault. The turgid and ineffective football Silva had Everton playing did not help matters.
Everton are at their best when the crowd are engaged, as they often were under David Moyes and even in the early days of Roberto Martinez.
Without that, then Goodison ceases to be a fortress and can become a sarcophagus for the Everton players.
Whoever takes over the managerial reigns will have to understand that after the weekend just gone.
