Jamie Redknapp has praised Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin following his brace against Newcastle United.
The England U21 international was on target twice for the Toffees as they won 2-1 at St. James’ Park to give Carlo Ancelotti his second win in two games.

Calvert-Lewin now has eight goals in the Premier League and 10 in all competitions, meaning he has already produced the best return of his professional career.
Neutral fans and pundits alike are starting to stand up and take note of the improving 22-year-old.
Writing about him in his latest Daily Mail column, Jamie Redknapp said: “But Calvert-Lewin should want to take on that role himself. I’d love to see him have a real crack at it.

“If this young forward is willing to listen and wants to learn, he might save that club an awful lot of money in the summer.
“Calvert-Lewin is already a nightmare to mark because he doesn’t stop running. You cannot doubt his work rate or desire. He is a big boy, too – strong, physical, capable of battling with any defender.”
TBR’s view – Calvert-Lewin coming good
There have previously been question marks about Calvert-Lewin being able to cut it as a regular at Everton.

Lately though something seems to have clicked.
Even before the arrival of Ancelotti, the youngster was looking much more dangerous up top.
With the Italian at the helm and Duncan Ferguson still on board, there’s a good chance he will prove the people previously doubting him wrong.
