Jamie Redknapp has told Sky Sports (broadcast on 12/5; 22:25) that he did not like seeing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s reaction after being taken off during Arsenal’s win over Chelsea.
Arsenal made it three league wins on the bounce for the first time since the turn of the year as Emile Smith Rowe’s goal gave them the three points at Stamford Bridge.

Aubameyang set up the goal after the home side got themselves into a right mess. But that was arguably the forward’s only real notable moment all evening.
Mikel Arteta decided to take him off with 11 minutes remaining. However, Aubameyang could not hide his disappointment as he slowly made his way from the field.

The Gabon international was left shaking his head as he got closer to handing the armband over to Alexandre Lacazette.
And as Redknapp discussed how Arsenal did not produce the most exciting display, he made sure to comment on the striker’s reaction to being substituted.
“Aubameyang’s ended up playing most of his football in the final third of his own half,” he told Sky Sports. “He’s not getting the ball. You could see his frustration when he came off. I don’t like how he reacted because his team is still winning 1-0, but it’s not an easy watch.”
Arsenal are unfortunately in a situation where they have little to play for at this stage of the campaign.
The squad did not let that derail them on Wednesday. But when they are not playing, you could understand why they may be struggling for motivation after the disappointment of this year.
Aubameyang has also had a difficult few months away from the field. And with Arsenal heading for an impressive win, you can see why he may not have been best pleased to come off.
