Jamie O’Hara urges Tottenham’s Dele Alli to get back to his very best

Jamie O’Hara has said that Tottenham’s Dele Alli needs to improve to try get back to the level he was at a few years ago.

The 24-year-old burst onto the top-flight scene when he joined Spurs in 2015 and quickly made a name for himself with his individual talent.

Alli played an integral role in the years to follow under former manager Mauricio Pochettino, as he was an ever-present in the starting XI and offered such a goal threat in the final third.

The attacking midfielder has over time develop a great partnership with forward Harry Kane, while supporters love him due to the fact he’s got an aggression to his game and is capable of magic moments.

He’s not quite been near his best in the last 12 month and O’Hara wants the English playmaker to be on top again.

“It’s about time that we saw the Dele Alli we’ve seen three years ago when he first broke onto the scene and was one of the best players in the Premier League,” O’Hara told talkSPORT.

TBR’s View:

Alli has a chance to have a fresh start going into the 2020/21 Premier League season and the signs are during pre-season that current manager Jose Mourinho is beginning to find a tune out of him.

After losing his spot in the England squad, surely the player is desperate to force his way back into the international team and he’s only going to do that by playing well on a consistent basis at club level.

He managed a decent tally of nine goals across all competitions last season, but there is so much flair to his game that he needs to bring back and confidence appears to be a big issue too.
