Jamie O’Hara and Jermaine Pennant had a huge disagreement about Arsenal star Granit Xhaka on talkSPORT yesterday.

The Gunners take on Chelsea in the Premier League tomorrow in what will surely be an interesting game. Mikel Arteta’s men are flying at the moment, and Xhaka’s impressive form is one of the biggest reasons why.

Jamie O’Hara and Jermaine Pennant disagree on Arsenal star Granit Xhaka

O’Hara and Pennant were discussing if any Chelsea player would get into this Arsenal side at the moment. The former claimed Thiago Silva would be the only one who’d start, but Pennant thinks there’s another.

The pundit claimed he would much rather have Matteo Kovacic start in the middle of the park than Xhaka, even though the Arsenal star has been ‘playing out of his skin at the moment.

“I would go for Kovacic rather than Xhaka. I know he’s playing out of his skin at the moment but I would go for Kovacic over Xhaka,” Pennant said.

A shocked O’Hara replied: “Xhaka’s like Guti this season, are you winding me up? Xhaka’s been unbelievable.”

Pennant then brought up how Arsenal fans wanted the Swiss international out of the club not too long ago. O’Hara was having none of that.

“That’s only because he fell out with the fans,” he said. “Look at the character he has shown to come back from it.”

Xhaka really has been unbelievable this season.

The Swiss international’s movement into the box has given Arsenal a new dimension in attack, and it is no surprise at all that they’re a much bigger goal threat now than they were last season.

We agree with O’Hara, Xhaka has to get into the Arsenal-Chelsea combined XI – there’s no two ways about it. He will be one of the first names on the team sheet, just like he is under Arteta.

Arsenal have beaten Chelsea in each of their last two Premier League visits to Stamford Bridge. Arteta will be hoping for a hat-trick tomorrow, and if Xhaka has a good game, they should be able to come away with all three points.
