TalkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur star Dejan Kulusevski could be just as good as Manchester City attacker Phil Foden, if not better.

Both Spurs and Pep Guardiola kicked off the new season with impressive wins. It was Erling Haaland who starred at the London Stadium for Manchester City, but in North London, Kulusevski stole the show.

Tottenham took on Southampton on Saturday and James Ward-Prowse’s early goal made fans wonder if it’s the same old Spurs again. However, that doubt was put to rest very quickly.

Spurs scored two before half-time and two after, and although four different players got on the score sheet, it was Kulusevski that impressed us the most.

Following Spurs’ 4-1 win over Southampton over the weekend, Antonio Conte’s men are on top of the league table. The standings don’t matter one bit at the moment, but Tottenham supporters are still very excited.

O’Hara, a Spurs supporter himself, is in really good spirits as well now, and he went as far as saying that Spurs’ front three of Son Heing-min, Harry Kane and Kulusevski are better than City’s attacking trio.

Speaking about Kulusevski vs Foden, the pundit says it’s definitely up for debate who the better player is.

While comparing Tottenham and Manchester City’s front three, O’Hara said on talkSPORT: “Kuluveski and Foden is a close call as well. Kulusevski is in unbelievable form right now and he’s 22 years of age.

“It’s up for debate.”

Kulusevski and Foden are similar in ways, but they are also very different.

The Swede has been absolutely incredible for Tottenham since joining them in January this year. He’s one of the biggest reasons why Spurs finished in the Champions League places last season, and he will once again play a key part in this campaign.

Foden, on the other hand, is an unbelievable talent. He’s among the best young players in world football, and under Pep Guardiola, he has taken his game to a whole new level over the last few years.

It will be interesting to see who will end up with more goal contributions this season – Foden or Kulusevski.
