'I apologise': Jamie O'Hara has just admitted he was completely wrong about 'sensational' Arsenal player
Tottenham supporting pundit Jamie O’Hara has been speaking about Gabriel Jesus on TalkSPORT just now and admitted he was wrong on the Brazilian.
O’Hara had doubted whether Jesus would indeed be the goal scorer and player Arsenal needed this summer. The Gunners paid over £45m to bring Jesus into the club, having convinced Manchester City to part ways. Of course, Jesus got his first Arsenal goals this weekend against Leicester.
And speaking on TalkSPORT today, O’Hara admitted he was completely wrong when it came Arsenal’s new number nine.
“I thought is he up to scratch to play for this team? I mean I apologise, I got that wrong. He is the real deal, what a player he is,” O’Hara said on TalkSPORT just now.
“I know he’s young but he could be sensational. He’s still got things to work on you know, his positional play. But you know, he looks really really good. They will concede goals though.”
Jesus will be Arsenal’s main striker this season as Mikel Arteta looks to guide the Gunners into the top four. Despite being able to play multiple attacking positions, it’s been clear from the opening weekends that Jesus will be the main striker.
TBR’s View: O’Hara Has To Admit Jesus Error
O’Hara might have been one of the only pundits or fans out there to even think Gabriel Jesus might not do the business for Arsenal. Maybe it was the Tottenham-tinted spectacles?
However, at least he has owned up to a mistake. Jesus was outstanding this weekend and if he can continue that sort of form, then there is a huge chance the Gunners make that top four spot.
Arsenal have had a fine window this time around and Gabriel Jesus is the jewel in the crown.
