Jamie O’Hara ripped into Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon during Aston Villa loss

Jamie O’Hara was left fuming with Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilon during his performance in Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa.

Spurs were beaten yesterday in front of fans in their final home game of the Premier League season.

Despite Steven Bergwijn’s early opener, the home side capitulated and ended up with zero points.

It means that interim Spurs boss Ryan Mason saw his side drop to seventh in the Premier League table, and they are now in a nervy position ahead of their final match away to Leicester City on Sunday.

The north London club won’t be playing Europa League football next season if sixth-placed West Ham avoid defeat on Sunday.

Celtic fans left short-changed by Sky Sports once again

They will though qualify for the Europa Conference League next year if they remain in seventh, but Everton and Arsenal are both waiting just behind to overtake them if they drop points against Leicester.

O’Hara vented his frustration on Twitter towards Spurs defender Reguilon during the Villa loss.

The 24-year-old left-back will know he had a nightmare day at the office, which started with a comical own goal after his poor sliced clearance went flying into the net.

He was also at fault in the build-up to Ollie Watkins’ winning goal after losing possession, which left O’Hara stating he’s “quietly” been the worst performer at the club in recent times.

TBR’s View:

Reguilon’s early-season form in a Spurs shirt shows he’s got real quality, but it’s fair to say his standards have dipped.

A massive reshuffle is needed in defence ahead of next season, but the Spaniard is someone who should at least be given another chance under a new manager unlike some of his teammates.

The end of this season can’t come soon enough for most of the squad, but they must come together for Sunday’s showdown against Leicester which will decide whether or not the club has European football next year.
