Jamie O’Hara reckons Mauricio Pochettino is fed up at Tottenham

Jamie O’Hara has told TalkSPORT that he believes Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is fed up at Spurs, as he continues to fight with chairman Daniel Levy over new players.

Pochettino watched on as his side beat Bayern Munich on penalties to win the Audi Cup in Germany on Wednesday evening, after drawing 2-2 with the German giants. Spurs beat Real Madrid 1-0 to reach the final.

However, Spurs only boast one new signing in their squad this summer in the form of new club-record purchase Tanguy Ndombele. Jack Clarke has returned to Leeds United on a season-long loan from Spurs.

Many had expected more recruitment, with Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon being linked. But nothing has materialised as of yet, and former Spurs midfielder O’Hara reckons Pochettino is frustrated.

“For me, he’s someone who has built that club, single-handedly got a squad to play for him and play for the club,” O’Hara said. “He has done such great things.

“That quote and that interview says to me ‘I’ve had enough of this. I’m fighting against Levy all the time for players that I want and things I want to do’. And this is a big, big season for Spurs.”

TBR’s view – O’Hara is right, Levy must spend or Spurs lose Poch

Pochettino miraculously took his side to the Champions League final and secured another top-four finish in the Premier League last season despite not bringing in any players last summer, or in January.

Comparing Spurs’ spending to their rivals, the north London club is masses behind the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool and it is down to Pochettino that they remain competitive.

But the Argentine is indeed getting annoyed about a lack of spending, and chairman Levy really has to spend before August 8 or face losing Pochettino.
