Ex-Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara posted his frustration on Twitter after his former side were eliminated from the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter responded with equal anger.
Spurs were knocked out of the domestic cup on penalties away to League Two outfit Colcheter United.
Mauricio Pochettino’s team were unable to breakthrough against lower league opposition in 90 minutes and ended up losing on spot-kicks.
There were a umber of senior players included in the Spurs line-up by the manager, but they ultimately came up short and were later punished.
Pochettino has never won a piece of silverware during his time in charge and once again his team blew a big chance in midweek.
“Are Spurs winding me up?” O’Hara posted on his personal Twitter account after the cup elimination.

A selection of Spurs fans on social media were equally disappointed along with O’Hara after a shock cup exit.
With the Premier League title a long shot and the Champions League extremely competitive, it looks like the FA Cup remains the only realistic trophy the club can try win now this season.
Harry Kane was one of the senior players given a night off against Colchester and that seems a mistake with hindsight.
Here are some Spurs fans replying to O’Hara’s post:
