Jamie O’Hara felt that Tottenham were outclassed in the Champions League against RB Leipzig on Wednesday night, while also questioning the substitutions made by manager Jose Mourinho.
Spurs are 1-0 behind on aggregate in the last-16 of the Champions League after losing at home to an impressive Leipzig outfit.
The Bundesliga club scored through Timo Werner’s composed second-half penalty and vitally have an away goal to take back to Germany for the second leg.
Spurs enjoyed a strong finish to the match where they pressed for an equaliser, but for large spells struggled to get to grips with a fast-paced opponent and Leipzig were denied by an inspired performance from goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
Former Spurs midfielder O’Hara wasn’t convinced by the substitutions made by Mourinho during the contest.
He made a double substitution in the 64th minute when Dele Alli and Gedson Fernandes were taken off for Erik Lamela and Tanguy Ndombele.
“Jose getting outclassed here tactically, not sure about the subs either,” O’Hara wrote on his personal Twitter account.

TBR’s View:
There were a few eyebrows raised when Alli was taken off after the shift he put in during a difficult game, but ultimately both substitutes that entered the action made a positive impact and Mourinho will have to rotate right now during a busy fixture list with a restricted squad.
Meanwhile, Mourinho will have some serious thinking to do before the second leg against Leipzig on 10 March, as they were outplayed for large spells by the Germans.
They need to try find a way to nullify their intensity and Wednesday’s game will have taken a lot out of the players ahead of a pivotal Premier League match away to Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.
