Jamie O’Hara has predicted that Harry Kane could have a chat with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy about his future in the summer, depending on where the team finishes in the Premier League.
Spurs are currently seventh in the league standings and everyone will have viewed a top-four finish as a minimum at the start of the season.
If they lose to London rivals Chelsea on Thursday night, they will remain seven points adrift of fourth-placed Liverpool.
O’Hara believes that Spurs could be in danger of losing talisman Kane in the summer and has tipped current league leaders Manchester City to try sign him.
The 27-year-old centre-forward is the England captain and already in the history books at Spurs, but he’s never won a piece of silverware in his career.
“I think they might go for Harry Kane in the summer,” O’Hara told talkSPORT.
“I think if Spurs finish outside the top four, I think Harry Kane is going to have a conversation with Daniel Levy… He’s at the peak of his powers, he could end up going past his sell-by date and not win a trophy.”

TBR’s View:
If Kane ends his trophy without a single trophy, it’ll be a huge shame.
The striker has 207 goals in 316 senior appearances for Spurs and what a talent to come through the talent.
He’s got the ability to play for any team in the world and he’d be an incredible successpr to Sergio Aguero at the Etihad Stadium, but Spurs can’t let their man man leave.
Mourinho’s side ironically play Man City in April in the Carabao Cup final and that’s an opportunity to try win that illusive first piece of silverwrae for Kane, as well as for several others.
