Jamie O’Hara makes Spurs claim on Twitter after Manchester derby

Jamie O’Hara took to Twitter following the Manchester derby on Saturday to label the result a great one for Tottenham Hotspur having been left unconvinced by both sides.

Manchester United and Manchester City played out a goalless draw at Old Trafford. It was an incredibly underwhelming game. As noted by BBC Sport, the two sides managed just four shots on target between them.

The result leaves the two sides languishing towards mid-table. And it opens the door for Tottenham to potentially go at least seven clear of the pair on Sunday.

Admittedly, Spurs will have played a game more than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s and Pep Guardiola’s men. But O’Hara believes that there is now little stopping Jose Mourinho’s men taking part in a three-team title race this season.

Here is what O’Hara tweeted following the derby draw…

Of course, since O’Hara’s tweet, Chelsea have also stumbled. The Blues were beaten 1-0 at Everton.

So there is an opportunity for both Tottenham and Liverpool to put daylight between themselves and the rest on Sunday.

That distance could be particularly important for one side as the two pace-setters play each other on Wednesday.

It would surely be fair to say that whoever tops the table after that clash on Merseyside will take a huge amount of belief into the second-half of the season.
