‘He just doesn’t’: Jamie Carragher unimpressed by what Leeds man did in the first half against Wolves

Leeds and Wolves are going head to head this evening in Premier League action and Jamie Carragher has been giving the game the once over on co-commentary for Sky Sports.

Wolves took the lead through a goal from Jonny Otto but it has been a disruptive first 45 minutes in truth, with a number of injuries and clashes of heads causing concern in the game. Leeds lost Patrick Bamford to injury early on and then Mateusz Klich also went down just before the break.

But away from the injuries, Leeds once again gave a sloppy looking goal away that looked all too easy for Wolves.

The home side simply broke down the right-hand side and Jonny slotted home with relative ease to make the game an uphill task for Leeds. And watching on for Sky Sports, Carragher was unimpressed with Stuart Dallas’ contribution.

“Very aggressive on the ball and leaving space in behind. He just doesn’t see that run over the far side, he’s not offside. It’s Dallas over on that far side” Carragher commented on the goal.

Wolves then made it 2-0 just before the break, as Trincao slotted in to make the game even harder for Leeds.

TBR’s View: Leeds All Over The Place Defensively

Whatever is happening at Leeds with injuries and other issues is all a side show if the Whites carry on defending like they are doing.

They’ve been all over the place in the opening 45 minutes and this man to man pressing that proved to be their downfall under Marcelo Bielsa seems to be continuing.

If Leeds don’t improve this and quickly, then they might well end up going down at this rate.
