Liverpool won out against Everton on Super Sunday as two second half goals from Andy Robertson and Divock Origi sealed a huge three points.
The Reds had toiled in the first half as Everton made life difficult for Jurgen Klopp’s side in the opening 45 minutes.
However, in the second period, Klopp made a couple of inspired substitutions which turned the game on its head and Liverpool never looked like losing once Robertson had headed in from Mo Salah’s cross.
For Everton, it was a game of huffing and puffing without creating. Indeed, their tactics seemed to be to disrupt Liverpool’s flow as much as possible. And one of the key culprits in doing that was Toffees striker, Richarlison.

However, his antics didn’t go down well with Jamie Carragher. Watching on co-comms for Sky Sports, Carragher fumed at Richarlison for going to ground in the first-half, which lead to a big scuffle among both sets of players.
“Honestly get up. Every week I watch him play like that. Get up. Carry on. Doucoure gets a yellow card now because Richarlison goes down and there’s nothing wrong with him,” Carragher fumed on Sky.
Richarlison was very much involved in negative moments in the game without ever threatening Alisson’s goal.

For a player who has so much talent, the Brazilian forward doesn’t half waste time rolling around and getting involved in the darker arts of the game.
Carragher did retract his comments a bit here as Richarlison did appear to take a knock. However, Richarlison still spent too much time getting involved in things that were unnecessary.
The Everton man is being linked with moves to clubs playing in Europe this summer. But if he is to do well elsewhere, he needs to add more to his game and stop some of the apparent nonsense he gets involved in.
