Jamie Carragher has been discussing this weekend’s clash between Arsenal and Liverpool and in particular, some tricky selection calls for Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool hammered Chelsea in midweek as the impressive Conor Bradley notched two assists and a goal to show his quality in place of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Alexander-Arnold has been missing in recent weeks and Bradley has filled in more than admirably.
Ahead of facing Arsenal this weekend, it’s left Jurgen Klopp with a massive decision to make when it comes to who plays at right-back.
And speaking on Sky Sports yesterday about the conundrum, Jamie Carragher had his say on whether Bradley drops out and Trent comes back in.

Jamie Carragher says Conor Bradley has to play for Liverpool v Arsenal
Speaking on the fixture and that all important selection call, Carragher believes that while there is talk of maybe playing Alexander-Arnold in midfield, it’s nigh on impossible for Klopp to change the team.
“I think the team played that well last night I think you keep the same team. You talk about putting Trent into midfield. That could be bigger picture, maybe for the new manager, that is not going to be Klopp’s problem but I think the midfield yesterday of Szoszboslai, Jones and Mac Allister was outstanding. I don’t think there was anyone in the team who didn’t play well and I think it’s difficult to change the team on the back of a performance so good,” Carragher said.
Big decision
Klopp never thought he’d be in this situation this season. But out of nowhere, he’s found himself with a right-back absolutely flying and it’s so hard for him to drop him to the bench this weekend.
Had Bradley just done ok and not been involved in the goals then Klopp’s life might have been a touch easier.
However, such is his form, that it makes it so difficult to drop him.
On the flipside though, this is an enormous game and Liverpool need to have their best team and best players playing. As we know, Alexander-Arnold is one of those better players and it would be staggering if he wasn’t in the starting XI somewhere.
Bradley, then, might just have to settle for the bench on this occasion.
