Tottenham Hotspur are currently in a difficult situation as their injury crisis continues to hamper their entire campaign.
Spurs remain without a multitude of key players and, as well as being in the lower reaches of the Premier League table, they are also out of both domestic cups.
Tottenham were hammered by Liverpool in their League Cup semi-final second leg last Thursday before then going out of the FA Cup at Aston Villa.
Spurs’ poor form has led to increasing criticism of manager Ange Postecoglou, with the likes of Jamie O’Hara saying Postecoglou was now ‘out of his depth’.
Jamie Carragher has now issued his verdict on Postecoglou’s future as he spoke of “alarm bells” on one particular front.

Jamie Carragher agrees with Tottenham sticking with Ange Postecoglou
Carragher admits he would love to see Postecoglou turn things round and win a trophy this season ahead of improving their consistency.
The Liverpool cult hero also said he believes the Tottenham board is right to stick with Postecoglou amid their injury issues.
“With all sincerity, I would love to see Postecoglou reverse the slump and win a trophy this season before making Spurs a more consistently winning side,” Carragher wrote in The Telegraph.
“There is no team that guarantees goals more than them. The problem is that is because of their vulnerabilities more than their strengths.
“Spurs’ board is correct to stand by Postecoglou until his senior players return, and then make a judgment based on performances and results. There is still plenty to play for this season.”
However, Carragher also reckons Postecoglou’s refusal to deviate from his all-action style is a cause for concern, given the situation the team finds itself in.
Carragher continued: “That is why saying ‘this is what we do’ rings alarm bells. Sometimes you must appreciate that what you want to do will not work.
“It may only be for a few minutes, for a half, for a match or – in the event of an injury crisis – for a month.
“But surely being able to read how a game is going or might go is a prerequisite of top-class management?”
What has been said about Postecoglou future at Tottenham
Despite increasing pressure on Postecoglou, the Spurs board is keeping faith with their manager for the time being.
For example, Daniel Levy wasn’t planning to sack Postecoglou even after his side’s poor 2-1 defeat to Leicester City.
Likewise, Postecoglou was not set to be sacked despite Spurs’ humiliating 4-0 defeat against Liverpool.
More recently, Fabrizio Romano reported that, should Tottenham lose to Manchester United, it still isn’t likely to prompt Postecoglou’s immediate dismissal.
“At the moment, there are still no indications of changes at Spurs,” wrote Romano.
“Of course, no one is happy with the current situation, but no indication of imminent changes. Let’s see in the next few days and after the next games.”
