Jamie Carragher has claimed that Liverpool star Luis Diaz looks like a shadow of himself now compared to last season.
The Reds were held to a 1-1 draw by Arsenal at Anfield yesterday. It was a great game to watch, but Carragher didn’t seem too impressed with Diaz on the left wing.

Jamie Carragher says Liverpool’s Luiz Diaz looks like a shadow of himself
Luis Diaz has had a really difficult year at Liverpool.
The Colombian missed about six months of action due to injury last season, and he had a difficult time off the pitch this campaign.
Diaz has still managed to score five goals for Liverpool this term, which isn’t awful considering the circumstances. However, he has to produce a lot more.
Jamie Carragher now believes that if Diaz doesn’t have a brilliant second half of the season, Jurgen Klopp will dive into the market in the summer to replace him.
The Sky Sports pundit said on Gary Neville’s podcast: “Diaz just looks a shadow of himself since those knee injuries he had last season.
“Obviously, he has had family problems this season, but I really feel that Diaz, especially on that left side, has got to have a really big second half of the season, or I’m sure Liverpool will be going into the market in the summer.”

Diaz has to improve at Liverpool
Every Liverpool fan knows that Luis Diaz has tremendous ability. Joe Cole even thinks he could become a Reds legend.
The £37 million (Sky Sports) man is quick, fantastic on the ball, can take on players, and has the ability to score anywhere in and around the box.
However, just 16 goals in 69 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions since he joined them is not up to the level required, and that’s probably why Carragher is not fully convinced.
Diaz needs to have a better second half of the season. He has what it takes to deliver, but he just needs things to click with his fellow attackers.
If that happens, there’s no reason why he can’t be a star in this Liverpool side in the coming months.
