Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has told Sky Sports he doesn’t feel Divock Origi is good enough for the Reds.
The 25-year-old joined Liverpool back in 2014, arriving from Lille in a reported £10million deal.
Origi has clocked up 155 appearances for the Reds, scoring key goals in the club’s triumphant 2018-19 Champions League campaign, as well as netting against rivals Everton.

However, he has fallen out of favour under Klopp, with just six starts in all competitions this season, and two starts in the Premier League.
Carragher was discussing Liverpool’s attacking options and noted how the Reds could do with bringing a classic No. 9 in.
“You look at Liverpool’s attacking players, they don’t actually have a striker,” Carragher told Sky Sports. “Jota is not a striker, he is a wide player, same with Mane and Salah.
“They have got Divock Origi, but he is nowhere near good enough, and he a lot of the time plays out wide as he cannot play as a centre-forward.
“Bobby Firmino plays that role, but we always talk about him being a false-nine, so he is not an out and out striker.
“I think Liverpool could do with bringing a striker in, just to shake things up, and primarily someone who gets goals.
“I think there is too much pressure on those two players [Salah and Mane] at the top end of the pitch to score goals.”
TBR View:
It’s been one of those seasons for Liverpool, where pretty much everything that could’ve gone wrong has gone wrong.
Although the Reds battled bravely in pursuit of a second consecutive title, there have been too many hurdles in the shape of big absences, and indeed a lack of squad depth.
Origi’s place in Liverpool’s history books has been guaranteed, but sadly he just doesn’t seem to have what Klopp needs at present, even as a deputy.
