Mo Salah was once again at the heart of things for Liverpool as they destroyed Watford at Vicarage Road, running out 5-0 winners in the end.

Salah, who has been on fire this season already, helped himself to a goal and an assist once again, as Roberto Firmino fired in a hat-trick to lay his own marker down on proceedings.

There has been some big debate in recent weeks about just how good Salah is. His goals, pace of play in the final third, and overall contribution to games has left many branding him the best in the world at the moment.

And following today’s game against Watford, former Reds defender Jamie Carragher was under no illusions as to how good Salah is.

Taking to Twitter, Carragher offered up a simple seven-word description of Salah at the moment.

Carragher had already spoken about Salah this week on Sky’s The Overlap fan debate. On there, the Sky pundit insisted that Liverpool pay the money to tie Salah into fresh terms at the club.

And judging by today’s excellent performance, Carragher’s point was only enhanced further.

TBR’s View: Mo Salah = Best in the world

There’s nothing else left to say. Carragher is bang on in his assessment.

Mo Salah is the best player in world football at the moment and nobody is even coming close to him. His goals, assists, work-rate, and just everything about his performances are levels above everyone else.

On this form, Salah and Liverpool could quite easily regain the Premier League title. That’s how good he is.
