Arsenal are into the FA Cup final as they end a brilliant week with a 2-0 win over Manchester City in the semi-final at Wembley.
Two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang proved enough for the Gunners to secure their place in the final in the same week that Arsenal defeated Premier League champions, Liverpool.
Whilst the players deserve immense credit, Mikel Arteta is the man who has masterminded both results.
The former Arsenal player set his team up perfectly to defeat his former tutor Pep Guardiola and it was not only Arsenal fans who were impressed.
Liverpool legend and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher was stunned by the level of Arsenal’s defensive performance. He took to Twitter after the game to highlight the excellent work that Arteta has done with this current Arsenal squad, especially in defence, where they have so often looked flaky in the past.
Arteta joined Arsenal with everyone expecting Pep style football every week. Arsenal haven’t got the players (yet) for that, so he’s changed the shape & adapted his idea to beat the best 2 teams in the country in 4 days. That’s great management. #ARSMCI

Arsenal put on a clinic in how to beat City. They defended heartedly, beat the press when possible and played quick, grounded attacking football going forward.
Then, they just needed to be clinical in attack and brave in defence, both of which Arteta’s players delivered on.
It was a great display from Arsenal and Carragher is right to praise Arteta. Fans will now be hoping the Spaniard can bring the FA Cup home for Arsenal this season.
