Jamie Carragher makes his final prediction over who's getting relegated - Leeds or Burnley
Jamie Carragher predicts Leeds United will get relegated from the Premier League ahead of the final day of the season.
It is down the Leeds or Burnley, and the Clarets know they will survive for another season in the big time if they beat Newcastle at home.
In the Telegraph, Carragher was asked for his verdict and he thinks that Leeds, who will go into the last round of matches in the relegation zone, will drop.
Leeds go to Brentford knowing that they do not have their fate in their own hands, which is a horrible place to be for any footballer.
Carragher predicts Leeds will get relegated
When asked to call who will get relegated, Carragher said: “Leeds United.
“Brentford have ended the season on form and will want to give their fans a send-off befitting a sensational campaign.
“Leeds needed more points going into the last day.”
Carragher also thinks Manchester City will beat his beloved Liverpool to win the league, Tottenham will come fourth ahead of Arsenal and West Ham will leapfrog Manchester United into sixth.
All Leeds can do is their job and hope for a favour from Newcastle, who of course were well in this relegation dogfight earlier this season.
Jesse Marsch seems to have big plans for the club, but they will be set miles back if they drop back into the second tier.
It will be a huge afternoon for Leeds, who fought for so hard and so long to get back into the big time and do not want to return to the Championship.
Carragher’s view contrasts with his fellow Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson, who thinks Burnley will lose against Newcastle and drop.
