Former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher, has taken to Twitter today to reply to a Tweet from the club about Brazilian striker, Roberto Firmino.
Firmino remains an integral part of this Liverpool side, despite the Reds bringing in players like Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz in recent windows. Of course, Firmino has not started quite as many games as he might have liked, but his contribution is still pivotal.

Jurgen Klopp has got the best from Firmino despite him not being one of his own signings. Indeed, Brendan Rodgers was the man to sign the Brazilian for £29m from Hoffenheim back in 2015. Since then, Firmino has helped Liverpool win the Premier League and Champions League, while scoring 71 goals in the process.
And replying to a clip of a Firmino goal at Stoke five years back, Carragher issued a quick reply to tell everyone exactly what he thinks of the Liverpool forward.
Firmino is on course to break the 250 appearances barrier for Liverpool, with 228 already in the books. However, like some others in this squad, his contract is up in 2023 and there is no sign of a new deal being agreed just yet.
TBR’s View: Firmino One Of Liverpool’s All-Time Best Buys
At the time, some people turned their noses up at Liverpool splashing out £29m on a player who had only done it with a mid-table German side. But while the goals haven’t flowed for Firmino quite like they have for Mo Salah, he’s still been an outstanding signing.
Carragher is right in his assessment here. Firmino has simply been a great player for the Reds and one they’ll find hard to replace in the future.
Jurgen Klopp loves him as well, and he often introduces Firmino in big games for key moments. His record and performances speak for themselves, and Firmino will go down as one of Liverpool’s best ever Premier League buys.
