Doucoure, signed from Watford before Rafa Benitez arrived, has gradually worked his way back up the levels he showed with Watford. His performances all season have been superb, and Carragher, taking to his Twitter account, was full of praise for the powerhouse.

How Hearts became the UK's BIGGEST fan-owned club

Doucoure has already scored twice this season and made it six assists for the season as well with his contribution today.

The draw for the Toffees keeps them well within the mix at the top of the table. United, meanwhile, will be ruing another missed chance to put a big three points on the board.

TBR’s View: Doucoure outstanding at Manchester United

What a performance from the midfielder. Doucoure was everywhere and looked everything that Paul Pogba should be for United.

Energy, power, quality on the ball, and contributions in both boxes, there really isn’t a lot Doucoure can’t do on a football pitch. Everton are lucky to have him, and Carragher is right in his assessment here.

If he carries on like this, then Everton have a genuine chance of making the top six and even more. Doucoure is brilliant, and he showed it once again today.
