Jamie Carragher has positively predicted that Thomas Partey can be a real success in the future at Arsenal.
Partey, who joined at the beginning of the season from Atletico Madrid, has had a stop-start opening year at the Emirates Stadium.
The 27-year-old is fit right now, but has had several injuries to halt his progress. It means he’s made just 21 Gunners appearances so far during his debut campaign with the north London club.
He’s a powerhouse defensive midfielder proven at the top level with Atletico, which is why he was seen as a really exciting addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Unfortunately, Arsenal fans are still waiting for his best despite catching glimpses.
During analysis that saw Sky Sports pundit Carragher criticise several players, he did pick out Partey as one of the positives moving forward.
“Thomas Partey has come in. I actually think he’s going to be a really good signing for them in the future,” Carragher told Sky Sports’ Main Event channel( 5:15pm, 5 April).

TBR’s View:
There are several members of the Arsenal squad that need shipping out, but there are a handful of individuals that they can build the team around.
Partey is certainly one of them.
The Ghana international has the intelligence and defensive quality to play an effective role in midfield, plus he’s trustworthy and calm with the ball at his feet.
He’s definitely one current Premier League player to keep an eye out for next year once he’s had more time to settle.
