Arne Slot has got off to the best of starts as the manager of Liverpool.

The Dutchman has won each of his first three games, keeping a trio of clean sheets in the process.

Liverpool have been dominant and efficient so far this season, and it’s been a great continuation of the Jurgen Klopp era.

However, speaking on Stick to Football, Jamie Carragher has outlined a difference he’s noticed between Slot and Klopp.

Indeed, Slot is very open in post-match interviews about the way he thinks tactically, and Carragher finds this interesting as he notes that Jurgen Klopp always used to speak on a more emotional basis.

Carragher spoke with Ian Wright about Slot’s post-match interviews.

“It’s interesting listening to him. I spoke to him after his first game and every time he gives you something from a tactical point of view, whereas Jurgen would give you something emotional. Everytime Klopp spoke he would hang on something.” Carragher said.

“Do you think he will stop doing that to give things away?” Wright said.

“I hope he does, from a Liverpool point of view, is it the Dutch way of doing things? On the front foot, you ask them something, they give you an answer.”

Arne Slot is different to Jurgen Klopp

Carragher is right, Slot’s interviews are very different to Klopp’s.

Klopp would always praise the fans and his team’s effort levels, while Slot is much more analytical.

As Carragher says though, this could be an issue if he keeps giving Liverpool’s secrets away.

However, while Arne Slot is very open in post-match interviews, but he’s not exactly giving the game away.

Look at his comments over the weekend, it was more a dismantling of what Manchester United do wrong rather than spilling the beans on how his Liverpool team operate.

Let’s face it, Slot won’t be able to fully explain the intricacies of his strategies within a five-minute post-match interview, and whatever he does give away will probably have already been deduced by the dozens of analysts and scouts employed by every Premier League club nowadays.

Slot’s tactics may eventually be figured out at Liverpool, as most managers’ styles are, but his post-match interviews won’t be the reason for this hypothetical downfall.
