Jamie Carragher has been blown away by the form of Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish in the last month and believes he’s a special talent.
The attacking midfielder has been at the heart of Villa’s decent form of late, which has seen them pick up valuable points in the Premier League.
He scored in both game against Norwich City and Brighton in October, as Dean Smith’s side beat both opponents to pick up six precious points.
The Midlands giants did also lose to reigning champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, but it was a solid month for them in the top-flight.
Grealish now has four goals and four assists in 12 games across all competitions this campaign, which makes him one of the most influential figures in the side.
He usually slots into a central midfield role where he can play box-to-box, but he’s found success in recent weeks starting out wide left and drifting inside.
Sky Sports pundit Carragher has singled out the Englishman for his recent form.
“I think he’s been outstanding, he’s had a slight positional change that’s helped him. He was outstanding at Norwich and any time I watch him,” Carragher said, as quoted by Sports.

TBR’s View:
Villa’s success on their return was largely going to be down to how Grealish settled and he’s now back in the Premier League a more complete player.
He was an exciting youngster during his first taste of the top-flight, but is now the captain of the Villa side and a real leader on the pitch with his performances.
He should be targeting double figures for goals and assists this season, as he’s a major goal threat that has the quality and is surely knocking on the door for a senior England call-up.
