It is a rumour that Leeds United fans expect every season, the dream return to Elland Road for former England international James Milner.
The Wortley-born star spent eight years on the books at Leeds and has made no secret of his undying love for the Whites.
This week, the Daily Star have suggested that a West Yorkshire switch is his dream next move, should he fail to negotiate a new deal at Anfield. If Leeds win promotion, the thinking is he could lead the club into a new era at Elland Road.

It would obviously be an incredible signing. Milner has been in sensational form for Liverpool this season. Pundits have been raving about his displays, with Stuart Pearce suggesting he is the best ‘pound-for-pound’ player in the Premier League.
One massively exciting prospect of Leeds getting their hands on Milner at the end of this season is their current manager.
“There’s a saying in boxing on who is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
“I think Milner is the best pound-for-pound footballer in the Premier League potentially there has been.”

Not many players embody the philosophy of Marcelo Bielsa better than Milner.
He can play in central-midfield, either full-back positions or on the wings. He adapts to any formation, always looks for the forward pass and is never out of energy.
So not only would it be a dream move because of Milner’s past, but he is a player Bielsa could easily build a top Leeds team around.
