Liverpool midfielder James Milner says he hopes his future gets resolved ‘sooner rather than later’ at Anfield.
The 33-year-old will be out of contract in the summer, and there has been some clamour for the veteran to pen a new deal with the Reds.
Milner has been a brilliant signing for Liverpool since joining in 2015, featuring regularly in each of his four full seasons at the club.

Milner has made at least 40 appearances in all competitions in each year he has been at the club, and fans adore him for his outstanding work rate, professionalism and versatility.
Speaking about his situation, the former Manchester City man said (Metro): “Who knows, you know?
“There have been talks so hopefully it gets resolved sooner rather than later. But at this moment I will just keep playing football as well as I can.”
TBR’s view – Milner deserves new deal
Liverpool should be handing Milner a new deal.

Perhaps given his age a one-year extension would be most sensible, but Milner brings so much both on and off the pitch for Liverpool that it is a no-brainer he sticks around.
Players like Milner are a rare breed these days and having him around the place as a role model can have a positive effect on the younger players.
