Leeds United do not know whether they will be playing Premier League or Championship football next season.

But Marcelo Bielsa will still be drawing up a tentative list of transfer targets. Here are three soon-to-be free agents who should be considered.

Ander Iturraspe

Leeds have been linked with Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Iturraspe, according to AS via Sport Witness. The 30-year-old holding midfielder’s contract expires this summer and he could reunite with Bielsa at Leeds.

With over 200 La Liga appearances to his name, the ex-Spain international’s experience could be vital at Leeds.

Jake Hastie

According to The Daily Record, Leeds are among a host of clubs watching Motherwell starlet Jake Hastie. The 19-year-old has scored six goals in 10 games since returning from loan in January.

If Leeds can win the race for the Scotland under-21 winger, then they could have one of the brightest young Scottish talents at the club.

James Milner

Boyhood season ticket holder James Milner would surely love a fairy-tale return to Elland Road this summer.

The 61-cap ex-England star has been at the top of the game for the last several seasons and is hoping to win his third Premier League win by guiding Liverpool to the title ahead of former club Manchester City.

Leeds would surely need to win promotion to bring the versatile 33-year-old back, 15 years after he departed.
