James Maddison has now sent a message to his Tottenham teammate Radu Dragusin after his superb performance for Romania at UEFA EURO 2024.

The Tottenham No.6 helped get his country off to a perfect start on Monday afternoon in Group E as Romania recorded a comprehensive 3-0 win over Ukraine.

So, how did James Maddison react to Radu Dragusin‘s performance? Let’s take a look…

How James Maddison reacted to Radu Dragusin display at UEFA EURO 2024

The England international – who understandably reacted with disappointment after missing out on a place at UEFA EURO 2024 – was very impressed by his Tottenham teammate’s display against Ukraine.

Maddison posted a photo of himself watching the Group E clash from his living room, where he sent Dragusin three applauding emojis to show appreciation for his efforts against Ukraine – as you can see below.

It is a credit to Maddison that he’s still watching the tournament and encouraging his Spurs teammates despite clearly being saddened by Gareth Southgate’s decision to send him home.

These are the sort of actions that led Ange Postecoglou to name the 27-year-old as one of his leaders almost immediately after bringing him to N17, and makes the Tottenham No.10 appear to be a fine teammate.

Dragusin has actually found it quite difficult to break into Postecoglou’s XI ever since his £26m move from Genoa in January – making just four Premier League starts last season.

There have even been rumours that the 22-year-old could leave on loan in search of regular playing time.

However, Postecoglou surely won’t allow that to happen after watching how Dragusin performed against Ukraine.

As shown by SofaScore, the Romanian achieved a match rating of 7.6 – no other player on the pitch scored higher – as he made a whopping ten clearances, two blocks and one interception.

Dragusin also completed 89% of his passes on a day where he showed everybody why Spurs committed £26m to secure his signature in January.
