Liverpool and Tottenham played out an enthralling 2-2 draw in North London on Sunday, full of drama and controversy. One of the best moments, was Alisson’s save to deny Dele Alli – and James Maddison responded.
Dele was a surprise inclusion in Tottenham’s starting XI to take on Liverpool. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was missing, while Oliver Skipp was only able to play the last 30 minutes. Dele partnered Harry Winks, and Tanguy Ndombele.
But it was the England star that bombed on, and found himself with a glorious chance to put Spurs 2-0 up in the first half. Harry Kane had given Spurs the lead, and Son Heung-min managed to find the on-rushing Dele.
Teed-up beautifully, Dele tried to curl an effort into the far corner first time – his shot was on target and nestling in the corner. But some how, Brazil star and Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson managed to tip it round the post.

What has Maddison said about Liverpool star Alisson and his save?
The ex-Roma star managed to guess which was Dele was going and just a few yards between the Spurs man and himself, he tipped his shot round the post. Quality wise, one of the biggest moments of the match.
Eventually, the game finished 2-2. Diogo Jota cancelled Kane’s opener, before Andy Robertson put Liverpool 2-1 up. Son Heung-min made it 2-2. Responding to Dele’s post, Maddison gave his verdict on Alisson’s save.
