James Collins has told Alan Brazil’s Sports Breakfast Show on TalkSPORT that Gareth Bale is happy and enjoying his time at Real Madrid, but did mention Tottenham Hotspur when discussing the Wales star’s future.
Bale, 30, completed 90 minutes just nine times last season. He made 42 appearances throughout 2018-19 – but was used as a substitute 13 times and came off on 20 other occasions. It has seen his future become up in the air.
In the summer, Zinedine Zidane stated that the club were doing everything to sell the former Tottenham star. Indeed, Bale almost moved to the Chinese Super League to become the world highest-paid player, but a deal fell through.
Bale has played seven times this season, scoring two goals and creating two more. But a calf injury has seen him miss Real’s last six matches in both the Champions League and La Liga. Former Wales teammate Collins discussed Bale’s future.

TBR’s view – Should Tottenham re-sign Bale?
Tottenham disjointed at the moment and reports have suggested that Mauricio Pochettino is losing the patience of chairman Daniel Levy, with the Telegraph claiming November 23’s game against West Ham set to be make or break.
Spurs fans need a reason to fall in love with their club again. If Levy went out and splashed the cash to bring Bale back to north London, then surely Spurs fans and the squad would get the kind of lift needed to rediscover their form.
Spanish newspaper Marca claim Real Madrid want £35million for Bale.
