Aston Villa defender James Bree could be set for a temporary exit on deadline day. According to journalist Pete O’Rourke, Aston Villa are set to send Bree on loan to Ipswich Town for the remainder of the season.
Bree has drifted in and out of the Aston Villa team since his 2017 move from Barnsley, playing 28 games in two years.
The young right-back was a regular at Barnsley but has struggled to break past Alan Hutton on a regular basis at Aston Villa.
As a result, Dean Smith is willing to let the 21-year-old prove himself on loan and Ipswich could be the perfect environment for him.

This loan move will test whether he can sink or swim in a team that is likely to be doing a lot of defending.
The Tractor Boys sit rock bottom of the Championship and look destined for League One. With 29 games played, Ipswich have just 18 points to their name.
They are five points adrift of second bottom and would need to make up a mammoth seven points to escape the relegation zone.
Although it may be a lost cause, Bree can treat this as a good project on a personal level. If he can impress for lowly Ipswich, then he might be able to salvage his Aston Villa career.
