Jakupovic to the rescue for Hull City

When it gets to the business end of a season, one moment of individual brilliance can determine the fate of a side and that could be exactly what Eldin Jakupovic did on Saturday.

Without a win on the road since their first away trip to Swansea back in August, it looked like set to be a 15th Premier League away defeat of the season why Yoshida was brought down inside the area.

Step forward Jakupovic, who pushed away Tadic’s powerful effort and ensured his side kept their noses ahead of relegation rivals Swansea ahead of their critical tie with already doomed Sunderland.

What makes the stop even more impressive was how quiet Jakupovic had been up to that point, with the Saints only forcing him into action on two occasions; the Bosnian maintained his focus extremely well.

Despite missing numerous chances at the other end to earn all three points, Marco Silva’s side will surely be indebted to their goalkeeper’s heroics and see it as a point earned rather than two lost.
