Jadon Sancho and Raheem Sterling react after Leeds United announce transfer news
Jadon Sancho has encouraged Ian Poveda after his loan move from Leeds United was confirmed yesterday.
Poveda loaned out
Poveda has temporarily departed Elland Road to join Blackburn Rovers until the end of the season.
Leeds have taken the decision to loan out the 21-year-old to help get him regular game time.
Poveda posted on Instagram after the move was officially announced, and was inundated with messages from a collection of players.
Manchester United winger Sancho, who Poveda used to play alongside at City, was one of the stars who responded – with the England international writing ‘let’s go bro’.
Leeds United teammates Tyler Roberts and Luke Ayling also responded, while Raheem Sterling wrote ‘Let’s go Genna Genna’.
Chance to impress
Poveda has shown flashes of real quality at Leeds so it will be interesting to see how he copes at Blackburn.
Rovers are looking to add more creativity after having Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott on loan last term.
And if Poveda’s loan goes even half as successfully as Ellliott’s did, all parties are likely to be delighted.
