Jack Roles is an exciting talent currently in the Tottenham academy and he should be handed a loan next season.

The 20-year-old is an exciting midfielder that needs first-team football if he is to kick on and competition for places is set to be ramped up at Spurs.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio on his official website, the North London club are “on the verge” of completing a deal for Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele.

It is understood that a fee of around £55million plus bonuses has been agreed and he’s set to make the switch to the Premier League.

Ndombele is set to be a major addition to Mauricio Pochettino’s squad and he will surely be a regular in the starting XI.

The 22-year-old Frenchman is a box-to-box midfielder that can compete alongside the likes of Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks, Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama for a starting position.

That is exactly why Roles need a loan move to develop his own game, with the current path into the senior team blocked.

Roles could be the next to come off the Spurs academy line and Pochettino has a knack of nursing young talent.

He’s an attacking midfielder that has scored goals for fun in the Under-23s side and looks ready for senior action.

The versatile ace started out as a central midfielder, but has shown he can play further forward too and be effective.

Spurs need to get him out on loan during the next campaign and should see if there are any potential suitors in the Championship.
