Jack Roles posts Instagram message after confirmed Tottenham exit
Jack Roles has posted a heartfelt message on Instagram after his exit from Tottenham was confirmed on Thursday.
Spurs announced on their official website today the list of players leaving the north London club.
22-year-old Roles is one of several Development Squad players who have been allowed to leave following the conclusion of their contracts.
Additionally, senior players Danny Rose and Paulo Gazzaniga have both left.
Roles, who has been part of the Spurs academy in recent years, will now become a free agent after failing to earn a new deal with the Premier League.
The London-born central midfielder has spent time out on loan in the past couple of years with the likes of Burton Albion, Cambridge United, as well as most recently Stevenage in the second half of this season. Hopefully he’s now picked up by a Football League club.
He’s sent a farewell message on social media:
Danny Rose the big Tottenham exit
It’s been no secret that Rose would be leaving this summer. However, it’s a shame that his Spurs time has ended like this.
He’s watched on from the sidelines for the entire 2020/21 season, but he’s someone that had some amazing moments during his 214 appearances for them.
It will be interesting to see where the 29-time capped England international ends up. Aged 30, surely a club will take a punt on him on a free transfer.
