Jack Harrison deserves shot to nail down Leeds starting role

Leeds United host reading on Tuesday night in the Championship and fringe man Jack Harrison deserves the shot to try nail down his spot in the team.

Whites attacker Ezgjan Alioski is floundering right now and his form this campaign hasn’t warranted a regular position in the starting XI.

The 26-year-old winger has failed to be a serious threat in the final third recently and hasn’t been on the scoresheet since September.

Manager Marcelo Bielsa should turn to Harrison, who is on a season-long loan spell at Elland Road from Manchester City.

He has had just one start in the last six league matches for Leeds and the home clash against Reading could be the perfect time to deploy him.

Harrison is a right-winger that is more than capable of replacing Alioski and he would have a point to prove in the side if he started.

The 22-year-old is a left-footed ace that can provide great directness with his dribbling and be a major goal threat too.

He is yet to fully show his best qualities at the Yorkshire giants, but the window may now be open for him to do so and he should get the chance.

Harrison ripped up the MLS during his time with New York City FC and needs to try repeat that in the Championship.
