Jack Grealish will consider a move away from Aston Villa this summer, with Manchester United his preferred destination.

The Villa captain has been in fine form this season for Dean Smith’s men. But despite his excellent displays, the Villans still find themselves firmly in the midst of a relegation scrap.

Talk, then, has been rife when it comes to Grealish’s future. And according to a report from The Telegraph today, the midfielder will indeed consider a move away in the summer.

Despite his obvious ties to his boyhood club in the Midlands, Grealish is apparently well away of potential interest.

Both Manchester United and Manchester City are credited with an interest in Grealish. However, the Sun claims that Grealish would prefer a move to United above other clubs.

Losing Grealish would be a bitter blow for Villa. Although the club will be resigned to losing him if they get relegated, Dean Smith would have been hoping for Grealish to stay put if they do stay in the top-flight.

But it looks like Grealish could be on his way. Smith, then, will no doubt have to start drawing up a list of potential replacements for the summer.

Players like Jack Grealish are always going to be of interest to other clubs. His form, commitment to the cause, and age make him the ideal signing for a ‘big club’.

At just 24, Grealish should have his prime years ahead of him. It makes sense, then, for Villa to potentially cash in on their prized asset while the iron is hot.

Manchester United would be the ideal destination, too. Grealish fits with the current transfer policy at Old Trafford.

Young, hungry, and willing to learn, Grealish would join the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Bruno Fernandes in what is a rebuilding job for the 13 times Premier League champions.
