Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish has waxed lyrical about teammate Ollie Watkins following Saturday’s superb 1-0 Premier League win over Arsenal.
The 25-year-old scored the only goal of the game at Villa Park, firing home in the second minute after being teed up by Bertrand Traore’s delivery from the right.
Watkins, a boyhood Arsenal fan, has scored three goals against the Gunners this season, and his strike on Saturday took him to 10 goals for the 2020-21 league campaign.

In addition to his Premier League goals, the former Brentford man also has two League Cup strikes for Villa, helping Dean Smith’s side reach the fourth round of the competition.
Watkins has not only won over the claret and blue faithful, but also his teammates, as shown by Grealish’s complimentary Twitter message about the forward:
Although Arsenal had the majority of possession, Villa were the most threatening in front of goal, with Watkins, Grealish John McGinn all testing Mat Ryan.
The hosts were also tested on a couple of occasions as Granit Xhaka forced an impressive save from Emiliano Martinez from a free kick.
Nicolas Pepe then shot wide when played through and also tested the former Arsenal keeper with a deflected effort.
However, Villa managed to keep the Gunners at bay and claim all three points, bouncing back superbly from their midweek loss to West Ham.
Villa are eighth in the Premier League table, and are next in action at Brighton next Saturday.
