Jack Grealish reacts to Kalvin Phillips' England display in Euro 2020 opener
Jack Grealish was amongst to share his reaction to Kalvin Phillips‘ display as the Leeds United star shone for England in their Euro 2020 opener, while Jude Bellingham also came up with a superb response.
Phillips was arguably the star of the show as the Three Lions kicked off their group-stage campaign with a victory over Croatia.
The 25-year-old set up the decisive goal with a superb piece of skill. His pass into the path of Raheem Sterling was simply perfect.
Many fans have lauded Phillips, while several of the world’s best midfielders quickly took to social media to rave about his display.
And it seems that many of his teammates were just as impressed with his performance.
The likes of Grealish, Bellingham and Ben White were amongst those to reply as Phillips took to Instagram to comment on the victory.
Many will certainly agree with Grealish’s assessment of his performance, while Bellingham offered a slight twist on the Leeds star’s nickname…
Little surprise to see Bellingham laud Kalvin Phillips for his Euro 2020 display
In truth, it is no surprise that plenty of England stars lauded Phillips. He was a shining light in an encouraging performance from Southgate’s side.
But it is not the first time Bellingham has expressed his admiration for the Leeds star.
The pair came up against each other while the 17-year-old was playing in the Championship with Birmingham City.
Both men have endured incredible rises since then.
Bellingham is one of the most exciting talents in the world right now. But Phillips has also done amazingly well to take his game to another level.
After an outstanding year in the Premier League, the Leeds man has now kicked off Euro 2020 by stealing the show.
