Jack Grealish took to Instagram during Tottenham Hotspur’s incredible FA Cup tie with Everton to label Son Heung-min’s crossing an ‘absolute scandal’.
Spurs more than played their part in an amazing game at Goodison Park. Jose Mourinho’s men were defeated 5-4 after extra-time. But they deserve huge credit for coming back from 3-1 and 4-3 down to extend the contest.
One of the main reasons they managed to keep coming back was the quality that Son produced. The South Korean had already provided the assist for the opening goal with his corner for Davinson Sanchez.
It was also his pass that found its way to Erik Lamela for the visitors’ second. And Son’s corner led to Sanchez getting his second of the night shortly after the break.
But the moment of particularly outrageous quality came for Tottenham’s fourth. After collecting the ball on the edge of the Toffees’ box, Son – who earns £140,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – drove to the byline before lifting a delicious cross to the back post.
Harry Kane made the most of the opportunity, nodding in another equaliser.
And it was that cross that prompted Grealish to take to social media. The Aston Villa talisman seemed to be in doubt regarding which Tottenham player deserved the most credit.
Here is what Grealish posted…
