West Ham United suffered a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United after extra-time in the fifth round of the FA Cup as Scott McTominay scored after coming off the bench – and Jack Grealish has commented on one West Ham player on Instagram.
Scotland midfielder McTominay came off the bench to slam home a winner in the first half of extra-time, in what was a tentative match that saw the Hammers rely on a couple of stunning saves from Lukasz Fabianski.
Declan Rice continued in the middle of the park for the Hammers, showing no signs of fatigue. He has played 26 of West Ham’s 29 league and cup matches this season, and is yet to be substituted in the games he has played.

His performance, alongside Mark Noble and Tomas Soucek in midfield, was excellent once again. He eclipsed all of his teammates when it comes to tackling, making five (WhoScored) on Tuesday night – as he protected the back four.
Rice’s passing was impressive, too. He completed 53 of 61 passes – and attempted more long balls than any of his teammates, other than Vladimir Coufal, with eight successful. It was a dominant performance with and without the ball.
It also prompted Instagram praise from an England teammate of his in the form of Aston Villa captain Grealish.
