Eyebrows were raised when Everton signed Alex Iwobi from Arsenal this summer.
The Toffees agreed a deal with the Gunners that could eventually see them fork out a total of £34 million for the player (BBC Sport).
Everton moved for the Nigeria international when their reported pursuit of Wilfried Zaha ended in disappointment.

Fans are intirgued to see how he gets on, with some fans hopeful and some unconvinced about the transfer.
There could be some added pressure on Iwobi from the off, with former target Hirving Lozano (Mundo Deportivo, June 2018) on the verge of sealing a move to Napoli.
As reported by Goal, the Mexico international is expected to join the Partenopei for around €42 million/£38.5 million – only a shade more than Iwobi’s price.
TBR’s view
Everton will be hoping Iwobi can reach a new level at Goodison Park.

If he doesn’t, then missing out on Lozano could become something of a regret for the club.
The livewire contributed to 33 goals in 44 games for PSV Eindhoven last term (21 goals, 12 assists) – for perspective, Iwobi managed 42 contributions (15 goals 27 assists) in four years with the Arsenal first-team.
The Eredivisie may not be the greatest standard, but they are very impressive statistics from Lozano nonetheless.
If Iwobi does not hit the ground running and Lozano does for the Italians, fans may well be asking questions.
