'I've hated them': £100m player admits he absolutely despises Aston Villa
Bellingham of course came through the ranks at Birmingham City, before he made his big move to Borussia Dortmund in July 2020.
In the BVB podcast on YouTube, Bellingham was asked who he dislikes more – Villa, or Dortmund’s biggest rivals, Schalke.
The Englishman said he could not decide between the two, despite his strength of feeling about Villa going back longer.
Jude Bellingham asked about Villa
“I’m never picking between them,” he said when asked the question.
“I’ve hated Villa for longer, as I grew up as a Blues fan, so I’ve hated them for longer but it’s choosing between one.
“I couldn’t! Neither is better than the other.”
It was obvious from the early days at Birmingham that Bellingham was bound for the very top of the game.
Dortmund was a great first step, because they give footballers a fantastic education but are open to selling them further down the line.
That could happen next summer, with Liverpool among the teams interested and a £100 million pricetag on his head.
By that time, he could be a World Cup winner with England, having been part of the squad who made the final of Euro 2020.
