West Ham United on-loan attacker Jesse Lingard has been praised by Glenn Hoddle for his performances and his impressive fitness levels.
The Hammers signed the Manchester United ace on loan in the January transfer window and he’s taken no time in becoming a claret and blue fan favourite.
In just six appearances for West Ham, all in the Premier League, Lingard has scored four goals and registered two assists.

Speaking on the Glenn Hoddle Footy Show podcast, the England legend says he’s impressed by how quickly Lingard has hit the ground running despite limited game time at Old Trafford.
“I think what it is there is that Manchester United is a big club and he’s been there all his life,” said Hoddle. “I believe he had a few problems off the pitch as well.
“He’s come down to London and he’s gotten away from those mental problems, and it’s almost as if he can breathe now.
“And what I have been impressed with the boy is that he must have kept himself really fit to come in and play at the top level to be thrown in and start in the team and to play as well as he has played.”
TBR View:
Lingard has been sensational since arriving at West Ham and is proving a key player in the club’s pursuit of Champions League football.
Obviously he couldn’t play against his parent club and the Hammers suffered a setback at the weekend.
On the plus side, this extended rest for Lingard won’t have done him any harm, and hopefully he’ll pick up where he left off in Sunday’s meeting with Arsenal.
