'It's very exciting': Manager admits one of his key players is about to join Liverpool
It’s been a busy week for Liverpool on the transfer front.
On Tuesday, the Reds brought Darwin Nunez to Anfield in a potentially record-breaking deal.
And on Friday, Liverpool struck a deal with Bayern Munich for Sadio Mane to move to the Allianz Arena.
In addition, the Reds could be about to make another exciting signing.

On Thursday, Fabrizio Romano claimed Liverpool and Aberdeen had signed all the paperwork for Calvin Ramsay to move to Anfield.
The Italian also said the Reds have a contract ready after Ramsay’s medical is done, which will take him to the summer 2027.
“Very exciting young talent”
Now, Aberdeen boss Jim Goodwin has confirmed to Sky Sports that Liverpool and the Dons have agreed a fee.
He also said the Anfield outfit are “very lucky” to land Ramsay if the deal goes through, and expects him to go from strength to strength.
“The two clubs have agreed a fee,” said Goodwin. “Calvin needs to pass a medical and agree personal terms.
“It’s a very exciting opportunity for Calvin and his family, no doubt.
“The academy staff at Aberdeen deserve a huge amount of credit for developing Calvin and giving him the opportunity in the first team.
“Liverpool are very lucky if that deal does go through as they’re looking at a very exciting young talent who won the (Scottish Football Writer’s) Young Player of the Year award last year.
“We certainly had high hopes for Calvin and no doubt he’ll go from strength to strength at a very good team in Liverpool.”
Ramsay enjoyed a superb breakthrough season at Aberdeen last term.
The 18-year-old only made his senior debut in March 2021, in a Scottish Cup trip to Dumbarton.
Since then, however, Ramsay has kicked on massively, and is now the Dons’ first-choice right-back.
He featured 33 times for Aberdeen last term, both domestically and in the Europa Conference League.
The Scotland youth international registered an impressive nine assists for his club, as well as one goal.
Dons legend Willie Miller told Aberdeen Live: “The quality I’ve seen and the Liverpool scout has seen leads us all to believe that he has the makings of a top quality club and international player.”
