Luke Ayling has told Leeds United’s official website that he is delighted for Gjanni Alioski and Liam Cooper, with the pair ensuring that their diaries are set to be particularly busy next summer.
Alioski was part of the North Macedonia side that beat Georgia 1-0 on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cooper was an unused substitute as Scotland edged Serbia on penalties.

Those victories have ensured that both countries will be involved at Euro 2020 next year. And it also increases the likelihood of a number of Leeds players being present at the tournament.
Ayling expressed his excitement for the pair following their respective nations’ wins.

“It’s unreal for the pair of them,” he told the club’s official website.
“They’re both playing for countries who haven’t been at major tournaments for a long time, so for them to be part of it, it is brilliant.
“I’m pleased for them, what a great experience it will be for them to go to Euro 2020 and play against some of the best countries in Europe, it’s a massive achievement for them.”
TBR View: Ayling could be outside contender to join teammates at Euro 2020
Like many of his teammates, Ayling has made an impressive start to life in the Premier League. He has certainly proved that he is good enough for the highest level.
So perhaps, there is an argument that the right-back could yet prove to be a surprise contender to join some of his teammates at next summer’s tournament.
Of course, he is yet to make an England debut. And there is a lot of depth available to Gareth Southgate at right-back.
But he is versatile. Arguably, his best performance this season came at centre-back. So if Southgate loses some to injuries, perhaps Ayling could find himself moving up the pecking order.
It would certainly be foolish to write him off altogether at this stage.
