'It's true': Fabrizio Romano says Bayern Munich are now 'dreaming' of signing 29-year-old from Tottenham soon
Fabrizio Romano says Bayern Munich are ‘dreaming’ of signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane soon on Que Golazo.
Bayern’s interest in Kane has been well documented in recent weeks, with reports suggesting that the Bundesliga champions have even spoken to his agent.
The 29-year-old has already received interest from Manchester City last summer but a switch never materialised. And now Romano claims Bayern could soon make their move for the England captain.
Bayern ‘dreaming’ of signing Kane from Tottenham
He said: “It’s true. At the moment internally Bayern Munich are dreaming of signing Harry Kane.
“We can say they are dreaming of signing Kane because what I’m told they consider Kane the perfect signing for their approach, style and strategy.
“He is the kind of player and image that they consider perfect. But there is a big problem, it is called Tottenham!”
Romano recently claimed that Kane’s situation at Spurs has completely changed from last summer.
The Spurs star is said to be happy with life under Antonio Conte and could put pen to paper in the coming months.
And the transfer insider adds that Tottenham are planning for a future with Kane leading the line, rather than without him.
“They never have any negotiations in the last year after the Manchester City saga, they never had any conversations,” he added.
“They want to extend the contract of Kane. With Antonio Conte he has a fantastic relationship and he knows they are trying to extend their contract.
“At the moment Tottenham are planning to have Kane as part of the future.
“If there are some problems, Bayern are prepared to try but for the moment there is no conversation with Tottenham or the player, it is just a dream.”
Kane has now entered the last two-years of his current deal with Spurs but he is seemingly open to discussing an extension.
Conte will be desperate to keep hold of his star player as the Italian looks to build a side capable of challenging for trophies.
Bayern are clearly in the market for a striker after Lewandowski made the switch to Barcelona this summer.
And if Kane’s contract talks are dragged out, Julian Naglesmann’s men could soon make their move for the striker.
